Artie Lange for Mayor of Hoboken, New Jersey!

Campaign Kickoff Wiffle Ball Tournament

Howard Stern is already endorsing this!

We want you to vote for Artie Lange this November for Mayor of  Hoboken, New Jersey.  Artie has plenty of money and he hates politics, so he won’t be tempted by the crooked forces that plague New Jersey politics.  Let’s watch him fix the budget while shoving a chicken parm in his face.

To kickoff this campaign, we are holding a wiffle ball tournament on August 29, 2009 at a park in Hoboken, New Jersey, to be determined.

This event is going to be hosted by yours truly, Big League Wiffle Ball.

This event is free to enter.  Please sign up your team of 1 to 5 players below.

If you do not sign up online, please arrive at 9am for pre-registration sign up.

The tournament will begin promptly at 10:00 am.

Lunch will be provided at no charge by Hoboken’s very own Blimpie Sub Sandwiches.  We are proud to have Blimpie sponsor this event because the very first Blimpie’s sub shop was built in Hoboken!

Bliss for Buchholz…

The future Mrs. Clay Buchholz - “Deal or No Deal” briefcase model Lindsay Clubine - said she and her hurler fiance got some sound marital advice from show host Howie Mandel .

“He said to Clay, ‘Stay healthy – and stay on the road!’ ” Lindsay told the Track. “Howie’s been married for 30 years – so I guess that’s his secret!”

Clubine – who will tie the knot with Buchholz in November – may not have appreciated the Mandel marriage mantra, but she was psyched to get two days worth of wedding consultations during a whirlwind cruise through New England with fellow suitcase gal Katie Cleary .

Dubbed the “Follow Me to Bliss” road trip, the two gals left Burlington, Vt., on Wednesday, hit Boston yesterday morning then continued onto Newport, R.I., and Mystic, Conn., to check out the region’s top “I do” destinations.

“There are a lot of things I still have to plan. There’s so many endless details to doing a wedding,” Briefcase Model No. 26 said. “I’m hoping to get so many ideas. Katie’s one of my best friends, and she’s one of my bridesmaids, so we’re psyched.”

Lindsay and Clay, who were introduced by “The Apprentice” boss Donald Trump at a mixed martial arts event last summer, will tie the knot at the Trump National Golf Club in La-La, where they’ll live in the offseason.

The wedding theme is Trump-ian as well – lots of pink. And Buchholz will wear a pink tie, a la The Donald, Lindsay said.

“It’s going to be a fairy-tale wedding – girly, but not to girly because I have a manly man,” she giggled. “A good old Texas boy.”

You can follow Lindsay and Kate’s road trip – including their stop yesterday at Fenway Park [map], where they tossed bouquets off the Green Monster – at www.followmetobliss.com.

Chris Merrifield hits a seed in the 2009 Connecticut State Nutmeg Games

The Event: 2009 CT State Nutmeg Games
The Place: Danbury, CT
The Situation: Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the 5th with 2 on and 2 outs… this was the closest to a “jam” Kevin from the Blue Razr’s found himself in all game, as he was just cruising, dominant. His teammates could taste gold behind another gem from their ace… but then… like a gunshot sounding… the crack of plastic on plastic followed by “GET OUT BABY!”

Final Score: 3-1. Absolute Gunners. 2009 CT State Nutmeg Games Gold Medalists.
