Big League WIFFLE Ball News

There’s no politics in wiffle….

As most of us try to avoid the Republican nomination frenzy, it’s hard not to follow along. As I tend to vote Republican, I don’t ever make that my deciding factor. As I try to figure out if I want to give Obama another chance or let some crazy, rich guy like Romney be President… the jury is still out. But this political season has made me think about wiffle, and that there is no room for politics in wiffle.

Wiffle is a game the government can never touch. They can never take away an open field and a wiffleball. And where ever there are two, there is a league. From the CCWA in the Great Northwest to the GSWL that expands across the nation, there is a place for every kind of wiffleball player. If you want to play wiffle… you can play wiffle. If you want to play for free, you can play for free. If you want to play in tournaments for cash prizes, you can. If you want to play a Big League Wiffle Ball Charity Event and play against Reggie Sanders, you can do that. Organizing wiffle should not be political or territorial. I’ve experienced firsthand wiffle in this light, and there is no place for it. I got “black listed” from a certain wiffle league, for supporting another. Which brings me back to my point; there’s always another place for me to play. And it’s all because of the simplicity of that white plastic ball.
