We’re creating the next generation of wifflers at our BLWB camps  in Guilford, CT.   Definitely have some talent in the 5th and 6th grade level.  Some good arms and quick bats.  We still have some work to do in mastering the essentials of pitching, but the kids are making some good progress.  Monday night we finished up session 1, and we start session 2 in about a week and a half.

  1. A wise man once said…

“I’ve never heard such a thoughtful and well constructed excuse for losing in my life. Trotta, that entry truly recognizes your masters level ability to make the best out of even the worst situations. Well done my friend. Well done.”

But in all seriousness, we were that team for a long time. While I think that we have progressed to be a pretty good team at this point, the fact that we didn’t dominate from the time we started playing gives us some serious empathy for these teams. We always make an effort to encourage and compliment the weaker teams as we go 4-0 in divisionals (unlike Doom, we draw the line at actually losing to them). You never know what group is comprised of the psychotic individuals that will have the drive to become good at this game.

One of things I really miss in the offseason is seeing everyone every weekend.

Trotta does well to highlight the fact that what we get out of the game can’t be measured in only wins, losses and trophies.

However, I would note that given the way the Wifflerock main draw was set up, losing that game probably helped you in the long run.
